South Korean troops on UN peace-keeping mission in South Sudan

The 290-member unit, mostly engineers and medics, is stationed in Bor on a United Nations peace-keeping mission. South Sudan is Africa's youngest nation which won its independence from its Arab-dominated northern neighbor Sudan in 2011 after decades of civil war that claimed the lives of about 2 million people.
