Inside Men breaks record for R-rated film

South Korean film “Inside Men” broke another record for “The most viewed R-rated film” in Korean film history. Former record holder was “Friend” which was released in 2001.

According to the Korean Film Council’s report, Inside Men recorded accumulated viewers of 8.21 million so far, overtaking Friend which recorded 8.18 million.

A film, which depicts dark corners of South Korea, fascinated its viewers with actors’ superb play and a great plot. The film had its director’s cut version released at the end of last year and it also received great compliments from the critics and moviegoers.

The director’s cut version is also gaining popularity, recording one million accumulated viewers, making the film the first director’s cut film to break one million mark.

Total of 50 minutes were added to the Inside Men’s director’s cut version. The new version features a new opening and ending as well as added episodes.
