SEOUL -- BTS, South Korea's iconic K-pop boy band, took the first place in a survey conducted by TIME, an American weekly news magazine.
According to TIME's online news report, the seven-member group became the winner of "2018 TIME 100 reader poll". The annual poll picks 100 people who are considered most influential in the world and BTS received 15 percent of the vote.
Other than BTS, South Korean president Moon Jae-in won five percent. Former U.S. president Barack Obama received three percent. BTS received Billboard's Top Social Artist Award last year.
