SEOUL -- SSsangyong Engineering & Construction, a South Korean builder involved in many projects in Southeast Asia, secured orders worth $420 billion won ($371.9 million dollars) to build a multipurpose complex in Malaysia and a luxury hotel in the United Arab Emirates.
The builder said in a statement on Monday that it grabbed a 350 billion won order to build "Oxeley Towers" in the central area of Kuala Lumpur and a 70 billion won order to build "Andaz Hotel" in Dubai.
The Oxeley Towers is a 339-meters-tall (1,112 feet) three-building complex which includes an office block, a residential service area and hotels. Ssangyong Engineering said that Andaz Hotel is a seven-story five-star boutique hotel with 156 rooms and unique design.
In March this year, Ssangyong Engineering formed a consortium to win a $740 million order to build an integrated 1,800-bed smart hospital in Singapore.
