BTS' Jungkook releases first solo album 'GOLDEN'

SEOUL -- Jungkook, the youngest member of BTS, rolled out his very first solo album "Golden." The 26-year-old has collaborated with global producers including British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, American producer Andrew Watt, and Shawn Mendes, a Canadian singer-songwriter. The album contains 11 English language-based songs.
 
Big Hit, the agency of BTS, released Golden on November 3. "Standing Next To You," the title track of the album was produced by Andrew Watt and Canadian producer Cirkut. The title track's music video surpassed 1.2 million views on YouTube only 30 minutes after its release at 1 p.m. (0400 GMT). The South Korean artist collaborated with global artists including DJ Snake, a French producer and rapper for his album.
 
Jungkook is the sixth member of BTS to make his solo debut after J-Hope, Jin, RM, Jimin, and Suga. His debut song "Seven" was listed on Billboard's top 100 popular song chart for 13 consecutive weeks. 3D, an R&B song dropped on September 29, topped the iTunes song charts in 100 regions including the United States, Britain, Canada, and Japan. The main vocalist of BTS collaborated with American rapper Jack Harlow for the R&B track. 
 
In May 2023, Jungkook was picked as the global ambassador of Calvin Klein, an iconic American fashion brand recognized for its underwear and denim products. As the ambassador, he is promoting various fashion items and campaigns.
