SEOUL -- Singer-actress Lee Ji-eun, known by her stage name IU, has topped South Korea's real-time song charts with her new single "Love wins all." The 30-year-old collaborated with BTS member V for the music video of the song.

According to EDAM Entertainment, the artists' agency, the song dominated the song charts of major domestic online music services Melon, Genie, and Bugs as of 9 a.m. (1200 GMT) on January 25. Love wins all also secured the top position on the iTunes song charts in 23 regions worldwide, including Bahrain, Hong Kong, Finland, and Taiwan. Currently, the music video of the song has garnered more than 17.2 million views on YouTube.

Previously, EDAM Entertainment changed the song's title due to a queerbaiting controversy. The original title, "Love Wins," is a phrase commonly used by the LGBTQ community as a symbol for the rights of sexual minorities. The controversy escalated online as there were concerns that using the phrase as a song title could dilute the original meaning. LGBTQ stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer.

Meanwhile, IU is scheduled to embark on her world tour in Seoul on March 2, 2024. After the Seoul concert, she will interact with global fans in 17 other cities including Los Angeles, Berlin, and Jakarta. The singer is regarded as one of the most popular solo female artists in South Korea's entertainment scene. Not only IU is famous for her talent as a musician, but she is also well-known for her acting prowess.
