Iran's oil exports are set to resume following the lifting of the U.S. maritime blockade against the country. The CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) recently announced that over 25 million barrels of Iranian crude oil have crossed the effective blockade line in recent days.

In an interview with Iranian state television on June 21, Hamid Bovard stated that since June 15, more than 25 million barrels of Iranian oil have passed through the blockade surrounding Iran. This amount is nearly half of Iran's monthly oil export volume.

The Iranian state news agency IRNA reported that Bovard confirmed the lifting of the U.S. maritime blockade and the resumption of oil exports through the Persian Gulf.

Bovard explained, "In the first phase, Iranian vessels are operating beyond the previously restricted effective boundary and are currently heading to their destination ports." He added that if the memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between the two countries is fully implemented, exports will continue at maximum levels.

During negotiations held in Switzerland, where Bovard was part of the Iranian delegation, he indicated that the issue of lifting oil sanctions was seriously discussed. "During the negotiation process, we earnestly pursued issues related to investment and the lifting of oil sanctions. Amendments were proposed to the U.S. side, and we hope to see them implemented," he said.

The talks took place in a four-party format involving the U.S., Iran, Qatar, and Pakistan from June 21 to the early hours of June 22 at the Bürgenstock Resort in Switzerland. U.S. Vice President JD Vance and Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf served as the chief representatives for their respective sides.
