Cré Company confirmed the marriage but did not disclose when or where the couple tied the knot. Instead of holding a formal wedding ceremony, the couple celebrated with a private gathering attended only by their families.
Moon shared the news in a handwritten letter posted on social media, writing that she had met someone with whom she wanted to share both life's journey and its uncertainties.
"I want the two of us, rather than myself alone, to fill the life ahead of us," she wrote.
Jeong made his stage debut in 2007 and has built his career primarily in theater and musical productions, including "Aida," "Laundry," "Agatha" and "Eden Hair Salon." He also collaborated with Moon through Bachi, a creative theater collective she founded.
Moon, who debuted as a child actress in 1999, rose to national prominence through the television drama "Autumn in My Heart" before establishing herself with films such as "A Tale of Two Sisters" and "My Little Bride." The performances earned her the enduring nickname "the nation's little sister."
She later transitioned into more mature roles with dramas including "Painter of the Wind" and "Cinderella's Sister." Her performance in "Painter of the Wind" earned her the Grand Prize at the 2008 SBS Drama Awards, making her the youngest recipient of the honor at the time.
Most recently, Moon appeared in the second season of Netflix's "Hellbound" and returned to the stage in the play "Orphans." She has also wrapped filming on "Yeto," a new film co-directed by Yeon Sang-ho and Yoon Young-woo — her first major feature film role since "Glass Garden" in 2017.
