Investor inflows continued as well. In the second quarter, net inflows of funds into domestic and international stock markets totaled 4.8 trillion won, marking six consecutive quarters of growth. The cumulative net inflow for the first half reached 8.5 trillion won.

Trading volume also expanded. In the second quarter, stock trading volume reached 139.9 trillion won, a 497% increase from the previous year, while the number of transactions rose by 191% to 266 million. The number of monthly stock trading customers increased to 1.61 million, a 98% rise during the same period.

The conversion rate of Kakao Pay users to regular stock trading customers exceeded 30%, up 20 percentage points from the same period last year. The increase in investor assets has been interpreted as a driver for improved performance through expanded trading.
