Gunpo City Corporation conducted a healing education program called 'Mind Reset Day' on September 14 for customer service workers aimed at alleviating emotional labor and job stress.

According to the corporation on September 18, the program was designed to reduce the emotional burdens that can arise during customer interactions and to provide a brief respite for workers to recharge.

The training was interactive, allowing participants to engage in activities such as making fruit tarts and writing supportive postcards. Workers experienced a sense of accomplishment by completing their tarts and took time to reflect on themselves while crafting encouraging messages.

Participants reported that the activities facilitated natural communication with colleagues and helped relieve work-related stress. Citizens who learned about the program also expressed understanding of the need for customer-facing workers to have time to alleviate their workload and recharge.

President Bae Jae-guk stated, “Customer service workers are exposed to various emotional burdens and stress due to the nature of their work.” He added, “We will continue to operate stress prevention and health promotion programs that consider the characteristics of their jobs to ensure workers can continue their duties healthily.”

Meanwhile, the corporation plans to implement various support programs tailored to the working environment and job characteristics of customer service workers in the future.
