NH Nonghyup Financial announced on September 21 that it will launch the 'Safe Care Campaign' involving seven subsidiaries, including banking, life insurance, and non-life insurance, in recognition of 'Dementia Recovery Day.'

The campaign is part of NH Nonghyup's 'Safe Care Project,' aimed at improving dementia awareness among senior customers and the local community while enhancing financial fraud prevention efforts.

Previously, NH Nonghyup established a 'Customer Service Manual for Seniors and Dementia Patients' for its seven subsidiaries and is pursuing 'Leading Company in Dementia Recovery' certification for 92 pilot branches.

Each subsidiary will contribute to the campaign: NH Nonghyup Life will broadcast public service announcements on dementia prevention, while NH Nonghyup Non-Life Insurance will run a social media campaign featuring short videos on dementia prevention. NH Investment & Securities will share senior-friendly voice phishing prevention content through TVs in its nationwide branches.

Additionally, the campaign will include promotional activities for dementia prevention and early screening in collaboration with local dementia care centers. All subsidiaries plan to conduct financial fraud prevention education for senior customers until November.

Since March, NH Nonghyup Bank has been offering free voice phishing compensation insurance to all citizens aged 60 and over. Approximately 170,000 people have enrolled, with coverage for 70% of losses, up to 10 million won, for one year.

Lee Chan-woo, Chairman of NH Nonghyup Financial, stated, 'We will continue to provide inclusive finance that seniors and families affected by dementia can truly feel, based on our nationwide network of local cooperatives.'
