The popular app has more than 15 million users per month on average, with total monthly visits reaching approximately 446 million, up more than 10 percent from 403 million a year earlier.
The app's additional features including its recommendation services for popular destinations and a walking-based rewards program also attracted more users. Usage reached about 62 million, more than double the level seen a year earlier.
The number of users accessing TMAP through in-car platforms Android Auto and Apple CarPlay also rose 8.9 percent to 3.16 million. The number of vehicles equipped with its in-car navigation platform TMAP Auto also surpassed 1.15 million in September, up from 770,000 in January last year.
TMAP Auto is currently available in vehicles from about 20 domestic and international automakers including BMW, BYD, General Motors, Mercedes-Benz and Volvo.
The company is also developing three-dimensional driving-guidance technology using high-definition maps, with plans to commercialize it by 2027.
TMAP Mobility is also working to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into its navigation services to provide more personalized route guidance and location information based on users' requests and driving conditions.
