The largest networking event for female entrepreneurs in South Korea, the 'National Women CEOs Management Training,' has launched this year under the new brand name 'WE-CON' in Jeju.

The Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association announced that the opening ceremony for the '2026 WE-CON National Women CEOs Management Training' took place at the Jeju International Convention Center on October 26.

Initiated in 1999, the 'National Women CEOs Management Training' is the largest event for female entrepreneurs in the country, aimed at enhancing management capabilities and fostering business networking. Last year, it was held at the Seoul National University Siheung Campus and the surrounding area of Geobuk Island.

This training, hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and organized by the Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association, is supported by the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province. It runs from October 26 to 27 under the slogan 'Lighting Up the World, Leading the Future with 3.37 Million Women Entrepreneurs.'

This year, 'WE-CON' (Women Entrepreneurs Conference & Convention) has been introduced as the new event brand. The 'WE' in 'WE-CON' stands for Women Entrepreneurs and 'We,' while 'CON' signifies Connect and Contents, reflecting the aim of female entrepreneurs to share experiences and create growth opportunities together.

The event commenced with opening remarks from Chairwoman Park Chang-sook, followed by congratulatory messages, a vision declaration ceremony, an announcement of Jeju's business support policies, a keynote speech, a video showcasing successful management cases of women-owned businesses, and networking opportunities for participants.

Keynote speakers included Moon Seong-hoo, CEO of Moonlead Lab; Byeon Hyung-kyun, CEO of the Chungbuk Creative Economy Innovation Center; and Kim Won-gil, CEO of Viner, who shared insights on leadership, the AI transformation, and management experiences.

On the following day, October 27, regional explorations will take place, including visits to traditional markets to stimulate the local economy and commerce in Jeju.

Chairwoman Park Chang-sook stated, "The experiences and capabilities that women CEOs have built in their respective positions should converge to create new opportunities, leading to the growth of all women-owned businesses."
