The original song ranked fifth on Hot 100, Billboard's weekly song chart that ranks the top 100 popular songs. It also topped the iTunes song charts in 100 regions including the United States, Britain, Canada, and Japan.
The recreated version, incorporating a retro vibe, was rolled out on November 24. "This remix enhances the 2000s vibe of the old school sound of the original version, infusing it with a retro charm," Big Hit Music said through Weverse, a fan community platform.
Jungkook is the sixth member of BTS to release his solo album. Earlier this month, his debut solo album "Golden" secured the second spot on Billboard's top 200 popular albums chart.
Meanwhile, Timberlake recently surprised fans with a revelation from Britney Spears' memoir, "The Woman In Me."
