If you are a serious fan of old time mobsters, then you might have heard of Frank Calabrese Sr. also known as ‘Frankie Breeze’.

He was one of the last real Chicago Mobsters standing. He was infamous for his style of killing, which is strangulation and slicing throats.

Unfortunate for mobster fans, ‘Frankie Breeze’ passed away in North Carolina Federal Bureau of Prisons on December 25th.

Frank Calabrese was a ‘capo’, high ranking made man in Mafia, and specialized in loansharking and illegal gambling operations for Chicago Mafia.

In 1997, Calabrese was sentenced to 118 months in federal prison.

Later, his son, Frank Jr., betrayed his father and uncle and recorded their conversation admitting multiple murders.  Later, Frank Sr.’s brother joins his nephew to help FBI with “Operation Family Secrets”.

In 2005, Frank Calabrese Sr. and other high-ranking Chicago Mobs were charged with numerous criminal charges including murder and extortion.
