Syrian rebels attacked an army checkpoint outside of Damascus Saturday and over 30 combatants died from the incident.
The rebels detonated a car bomb that hit the checkpoint. From the explosion, about 15 rebels and 16 soldiers were killed. After the bombing, the rebels tried to take another checkpoint by force but failed.
Syrian military supports arrived and clashed with the rebels with great force from air.
Over 100,000 people have died from constant clashing of Syrian government and revels since 2010, Reuters reported.
