SEOUL -- South Korean conglomerate Lotte Group has hosted a conference in Seoul for its executives to explore AI technologies and their potential to transform the group's core businesses.

The March 7 event drew approximately 110 participants, including Lotte Chairman Shin Dong-bin and CEOs and CSOs from all affiliates.

Lotte recognizes that AI is not only enhancing work efficiency but also becoming a strategic tool. To drive AI adoption, the conference focused on fostering a deep understanding of AI and its business applications among leadership. AI experts presented successful case studies, highlighting business transformation trends and essential requirements for companies adopting AI.

Nine AI startups, including Calibers and Space Vision AI, showcased their AI technologies and business services through live demonstrations. Lotte officials view the conference as a significant step in its journey towards AI-driven transformation. The group is poised to leverage AI as a key driver for sustainable growth and innovation across its diverse businesses.

Lotte plans to further strengthen its employees' AI capabilities by hosting regular online and offline AI webinars and forums.
