Lee Tae-sik, CEO of the Korea Small Business and Startups Agency, visited a company that operates in the policy duty-free market to tour its production facilities and listen to its challenges.

On June 8, the agency announced that Lee visited 'Flower in a Jar', a premium tea manufacturer located in Guri, Gyeonggi Province, on June 5.

According to the agency, 'Flower in a Jar' was established in 2016 and offers a premium flower tea and herb blending tea brand called 'Aldip', made from flowers and stems harvested directly from over 50 farms nationwide. The company has gained recognition for its products that blend traditional Korean tea with modern sensibilities, and it was selected as a 'K-export strategic item' by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups in 2024.

During the visit, Lee Tae-sik toured the manufacturing facilities and held a meeting with Lee In-pyo, the CEO of 'Flower in a Jar', and other officials to discuss the challenges the company faces and feedback on participation in support programs.

Lee In-pyo stated, "With the rapid changes in the domestic and international environment due to recent conflicts in the Middle East and rising production costs, support for product promotion and sales expansion is urgently needed. This year marks our 10th anniversary, and we plan to actively utilize the agency's market support policies to leap forward as a global company."

Lee Tae-sik emphasized, "If you utilize the various market support programs operated by our agency, it will serve as a stepping stone to promote your products to customers nationwide and achieve further growth." He added, "Our agency will also actively support excellent small and medium-sized enterprises to expand into broader markets."

Earlier, Lee visited 'World Furniture', a small furniture manufacturer that entered the public procurement market in April, to check the status of the direct production verification system and identify areas for improvement.
