Under the agreement, the two companies plan to collaborate in various areas, including the establishment of AI and cloud infrastructure tailored for the shipbuilding industry, the development of integrated power infrastructure for data centers, cooperation on software-defined vessels (SDV) and shipbuilding AX technology, the utilization of physical AI and robotics technology, and digital education.
Initially, they will promote digital transformation across all areas of shipbuilding, from design to production and research and development, by building a cloud and AI factory customized for the industry. They will also form a joint professional organization to explore AI application models, validate technologies, and facilitate personnel exchanges for training.
Collaboration will also extend to the power infrastructure needed for data centers. The focus will be on establishing a power supply network for data centers using HD Hyundai's eco-friendly engine technology, energy storage systems (ESS), and hydrogen fuel cells.
