Yoo Hyun-jo claimed victory at the KLPGA Tour HJ Construction and Dongbu Construction Championship, marking her first multiple wins in a season since her debut.
On October 11, at the A1 Country Club in Yangsan, South Gyeongsang Province, Yoo added six points in the final round, scoring four birdies and two bogeys.
With a total score of 52 points, Yoo outpaced Kim Min-sun 7 and Ahn Ji-hyun, who both finished with 51 points, by one point to secure the championship trophy.
The tournament utilized a modified Stableford scoring system, awarding points based on hole performance. An albatross earned eight points, an eagle five points, a birdie two points, and par zero points, while a bogey resulted in minus one point and a double bogey or worse was minus three points.
In the second round, Yoo recorded 11 birdies without any bogeys, achieving a tournament record of 22 points for 18 holes and taking the lead. She maintained her position through the final round, finishing with a total of 27 birdies, the highest among all participants.
After winning the DB Women's Championship in May, Yoo added her second victory of the season and her fourth career win. This marks her first time achieving two wins in a single season in her third year on tour.
With the winner's prize of 180 million won, Yoo increased her season earnings to approximately 817.78 million won, moving up from eighth to fourth in the prize money rankings. She also gained 70 points, bringing her total to 366 points and rising from sixth to fourth in the points standings.
Following her victory, Yoo expressed, "Until last year, I could only manage one win per season, and I sometimes doubted whether I could achieve multiple wins. I am very happy to have my first multiple wins in my third year. I will stay focused for the remainder of the season to achieve good results."
Lee Ye-won finished fourth with a total of 50 points, while Han Ah-reum placed fifth with 47 points.
Defending champion and current prize money leader Kim Min-sol marked a joint 15th place with 39 points.
Seo Gyo-rim, who leads the season with four wins and points, faced her first cut of the season.
With this tournament concluded, the top 15 players in the prize money rankings have been determined. Kim Min-sol, Seo Gyo-rim, Kim Min-sun 7, Choi Ye-rim, Jang Eun-soo, Lee Da-yeon, Bang Sin-sil, Yoo Hyun-jo, Lee Ye-won, Kim Min-ju, Park Bo-gyeom, Park Min-ji, Jeon Ye-seong, Yoo Seo-yeon, and Park Hye-jun have qualified to participate in the LPGA Tour BMW Ladies Championship, scheduled for October 22 at Pine Beach Golf Links in Haenam, Jeollanam-do.
