KT unveiled key collaborations with artificial intelligence (AI) startups during its 'K-PATH 2026' event held on October 20 at the Sofitel Ambassador Hotel in Songpa-gu, Seoul.
The event aimed to nurture startups with AI capabilities as partners in KT's AI transformation (AX) initiatives and to promote joint projects. Since 2024, KT has selected promising startups and is currently collaborating with a total of 56 companies.
Approximately 200 attendees participated in the event, including representatives from previously selected K-PATH companies, the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, and Hyundai Motor Company.
During the event, KT showcased collaborative achievements that combine specialized startup technologies with its own business and technical capabilities to address real-world AX challenges. Notably, in the field of physical AI, 'Dime Technology' and 'Three-I' presented technologies they are preparing for commercialization in partnership with KT. Dime Technology is developing a factory operation service based on physical AI that integrates robotic control and digital twins, while Three-I is working on a 'public SOC physical AI' service that automates everything from facility anomaly detection to robot collision and AI interpretation.
Additionally, various startups demonstrated AI technologies and services applicable to real-world operations. They showcased AI services and business models that can be integrated into KT's diverse business areas, including both business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) markets, highlighting the potential for joint commercialization.
Park Sang-won, head of KT's AX division, stated, "We will develop the AX demand across various industries into new business opportunities and expand the AX ecosystem to grow with domestic AI companies."
