LS Eco Energy achieved its highest-ever quarterly performance in the third quarter of this year, marking three consecutive years of record-breaking results.
The company announced on October 20 that its consolidated preliminary results for the third quarter included sales of 351.5 billion won, operating profit of 22.2 billion won, and net profit of 14 billion won.
Compared to the same period last year, sales increased by 51%, and operating profit rose by 50.2%. Both sales and operating profit are the highest recorded for the third quarter. Cumulative sales for the third quarter reached 987.3 billion won, with operating profit at 67.5 billion won, surpassing last year's annual figures of 960.1 billion won in sales and 66.8 billion won in operating profit within just nine months.
The growth in performance was driven by increased exports of power cables and busducts to Europe and North America. The expansion of global power grid investments, the rise of AI data centers, and the growing demand for power infrastructure due to the transition to renewable energy also contributed to this growth.
Notably, demand for busducts surged as major global tech companies expanded investments in hyperscale data centers and high-rise buildings, particularly in Malaysia and Indonesia. Consequently, busduct sales increased two to three times compared to the same period last year.
LS Eco Energy plans to enhance profitability and expand contracts with global tech firms through new investments in busducts for AI data centers. To this end, the company is establishing large-scale busduct production facilities in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, with mass production expected to begin in the second half of 2027.
The rare earth metals business is also being developed as a new growth driver. Last month, LS Eco Energy began constructing production facilities for samarium metal used in defense applications at LSCV, with plans to start mass production within the year.
Lee Sang-ho, CEO of LS Eco Energy, stated, "With the expansion of exports to Europe and North America, along with the new businesses in AIDC and rare earth metals, we expect the growth trend in sales and operating profit to continue."
