LG Electronics has introduced its commercial air conditioning system, the 'Multi V 7,' featuring artificial intelligence (AI) and a new compressor design. This launch expands its HVAC business into residential, commercial, and AI data center markets.

On October 21, LG showcased the 'LG Multi V 7' at the 'Korea International HVAC Exhibition (HARFKO 2026)' held in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province.

The Multi V 7 incorporates a 'dual AI' system that combines on-device AI with cloud AI. This technology learns real-time data from the installation environment and user patterns, analyzing operational strategies in the cloud to optimize heating and cooling.

Additionally, the new 'SpinX' compressor features a two-way oil supply structure and real-time oil condition detection technology, enhancing both heating and cooling performance as well as energy efficiency compared to previous models.

During the exhibition, LG also presented a residential solution that integrates heating and cooling with hot water supply using heat pumps. An integrated air solution was introduced, linking air conditioners with air purifiers and ventilation systems to manage indoor air quality and energy consumption.

LG highlighted its AI data center cooling technologies, showcasing air cooling systems using chillers and fan wall units, as well as cooling distribution units (CDUs) and liquid cooling solutions based on cold plates. A developing immersion tank was also displayed.

LG is accelerating its efforts to expand its data center cooling portfolio, including air, liquid, and immersion cooling technologies, in collaboration with GS Engineering & Construction and the U.S.-based GRC to jointly develop immersion cooling technology and standard designs.

LG plans to broaden its HVAC business, encompassing system air conditioners, heat pumps, and data center cooling, as a key growth area in the business-to-business (B2B) sector.

Lee Jae-sung, head of LG Electronics' ES Business Division, stated, "We will continue to expand core technology-based solutions across all areas requiring cooling solutions, from homes to commercial and industrial sectors, including AI data centers."
