S. Korean violinist wins third place at Queen Elisabeth Competition

Shin, who started playing the violin at the age of 4 and began her solo career at 11, has competed in a number of renowned contests and won second prize at the Hanover International Competition in 2006.
As the third-place winner, Shin will receive a prize of 17,000 euros and play with first and second laureates, Andrey Baranov from Russia and Tatsuki Narita from Japan at a joint concert.
South Korean, Kim Dami finished among the 12 finalists without winning a prize while a Korean-American Esther Yoo came in fourth place.
