Upon arrival in Beijing, Rodman said he is hoping a basketball game he is organizing in North Korea could "engage" the American people and President Barack Obama, according to the AFP news agency.
He told reporters that he will visit Pyongyang again next month for the exhibition game to mark North Korean leader Kim Jong-un’s birthday.
During his visit to Pyongyang, Roadman failed to meet Kim.
The visit came about a week after the execution of Kim’s uncle Jang Song-thaek, a powerful figure seen by outside observers as his mentor. Jang was accused of attempting to overthrow the state, among others, North Korea’s state media said.
