A “hanok” hotel will be built in the Hahoe Village in Andong, southeastern part of South Korea, Andong City said on Sunday. “Hanok” is a term to describe traditional Korean houses.

Rakkojae, the operator of a “hanok” hotel chain, will carry out the construction project, it said. Completion is due for early 2017.

The “hanok” hotel will feature replicas of pavilions in the Changdok Palace, including Buyong-jeong, Nakseon-jae, Yeongyeong-dang and Cheongui-jeong, in Seoul, as well as rooms where visitors can experience traditional Korean culture, such as tea ceremony and pottery-making.

The Ahndong Haehoe Village has been listed as one of the world's cultural inheritance of UNESCO.
