NH Bank President Kang Tae-young Supports Rural Labor in Gangwon

Kang Tae-young, President of NH Bank, visited Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, to participate in the first rural labor support event of the year.

NH Bank announced on May 17 that Kang led a joint rural labor support activity in Guam Village, Dongsan-myeon, Chuncheon, on May 15.

The volunteer effort included over 60 employees from both NH Bank and Gangwon Techno Park, led by President Heo Jang-hyun. Participants assisted with agricultural tasks such as thinning peach buds and installing support stakes for peppers. They also delivered watermelons to all households in the village, which is facing labor shortages during the busy farming season, as a gesture of support.

Heo stated, "It was a meaningful time to directly experience the challenges in agriculture and to connect with the community. We will strengthen our collaboration with NH Bank to actively support the competitiveness of local small and medium-sized enterprises and the creation of a sustainable industrial ecosystem."

Kang emphasized the importance of ongoing support for agriculture and rural areas, as well as the role of finance in fostering the growth of innovative local businesses. He stated, "NH Bank will strive to grow together with the community based on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management principles."
