President Yoon Suk Yeol Arrives in Switzerland for G7 Summit

President Yoon Suk Yeol has arrived in Switzerland to attend the Group of Seven (G7) summit.

On June 16, local time, President Yoon and First Lady Kim Hye-kyung departed from Rome's Fiumicino Airport and traveled to Geneva Airport in Switzerland. After arriving in Geneva, the president will head to Évian, France, where the G7 meetings will take place.

Initially, President Yoon will participate in a group photo with French President Emmanuel Macron, the host of the G7, along with leaders from member and invited countries.

Following the photo session, he will attend an expanded leaders' meeting and a formal dinner.

Key topics at this year's G7 include development cooperation, global inequality, artificial intelligence, and digital issues. President Yoon is expected to make remarks during the sessions.

There is also interest in whether President Yoon will hold a bilateral meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump.
