SEOUL, July 07 (AJP) -The action plans and business opportunities emerging from the upgraded Korea-India economic partnership following President Lee Jae Myung's state visit to India will be outlined at a special forum hosted by the Korea-India Future Society on July 21.
The forum will feature Ambassador Lee Seong-ho, South Korea's ambassador to India, and Cho Choong-jae, head of the Delhi Office of the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP), according to the society president and former Korean ambassador to India Shin Bong-kil.
The event will review key economic cooperation initiatives agreed by the two governments during the summit and examine their implementation. Participants will also hear directly from senior officials and experts on South Korean companies' investment in India and emerging business opportunities.
Ambassador Lee will speak on "India's Political and Economic Landscape and Korea-India Economic Cooperation," outlining recent political and economic developments in India and prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation.
Cho will deliver a presentation titled "South Korean Companies' Investment in India: Current Status and Outlook," covering India's investment climate, sector-specific opportunities and market entry strategies for Korean businesses.
Lee previously served as deputy minister for economic affairs at South Korea's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and as ambassador to Italy. He assumed his post as South Korea's ambassador to India after presenting his credentials to Indian President Droupadi Murmu in November 2024.
The Korea-India Future Society said the forum would provide a valuable opportunity to discuss practical measures for deepening bilateral economic cooperation and expanding business engagement following the summit.
The event is open to society members as well as business executives, investors, entrepreneurs, researchers, students and anyone interested in the Indian market and investment opportunities.
The forum will be held from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on July 21 at Hallasan Hall, Seoul Club, in Jangchung-dong, Seoul.
