Tplus, the budget mobile brand of Korea Cable Telecom (KCT), a subsidiary of Taekwang Group, announced on September 24 that it will introduce an 'Essentials Plan' in collaboration with Aekyung Industrial, combining telecommunications services with regular subscriptions for daily necessities.

The Essentials Plan allows customers to receive Aekyung's beauty and household products regularly without any additional cost to their communication fees. The plan offers three options: 11 gigabytes (GB)+, 100GB+, and 5GB per day. Customers can access these plans at a discounted rate of 10,900 to 16,900 won per month for the first seven months, compared to the usual monthly fees of 40,000 to 50,000 won.

Subscribers will receive a free essentials set valued at 40,000 to 70,000 won every three months. Starting from the third month, the value of the essentials set will increase with each subsequent delivery. The set includes household items such as Kerasis shampoo, Malang hand wash, and Riqui fabric softener, as well as beauty products like One Thing Centella Soothing Mask and A-Solution lotion.

Tplus will also offer discounts at CU convenience stores for customers who sign up for the plan. After enrollment, customers can access a link via text message to authenticate a QR code in the CU app, allowing them to receive a 20% discount on purchases at the convenience store, with a maximum discount of 5,000 won per month.

Tplus expects this plan to be particularly beneficial for single-person households and the 30-40 age group looking to reduce household expenses. It aims to alleviate the burden of purchasing daily necessities for single-person households while helping families lower their overall expenses through reduced communication costs and the provision of essential products.

Lee Jae-seok, CEO of KCT, stated, "This collaboration with Aekyung Industrial was designed not only to reduce communication costs but also to provide tangible benefits that customers can feel in their daily lives. We will continue to create synergies through collaborations among group affiliates and expand partnerships with various companies like Olive Young and Daiso to continuously discover benefits closely related to customers' lives."

Meanwhile, Tplus has been implementing various programs to expand its customer base, including the introduction of multilingual services for foreigners on its website in August.
