CJ Logistics is teaming up with Toss to expand daily logistics services. The partnership will introduce a delivery service for small business owners and self-employed individuals, allowing general consumers to send packages from nearby local stores using Toss-affiliated locations.

CJ Logistics announced on October 5 that it will utilize Toss' network of stores equipped with the Toss Front payment terminals to enable store owners to easily accept and send packages.

The two companies are also working on a plan to use Toss Front-equipped stores as 'package handling points' where general customers can drop off their deliveries. This initiative aims to leverage approximately 500,000 Toss-affiliated stores nationwide as logistics hubs to expand CJ Logistics' offline delivery points.

To facilitate this collaboration, the companies signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on September 30 at Toss' headquarters in Gangnam, Seoul. Key figures at the signing included Jin Pil-kyu, head of Toss' payment division, and Jeong In-ji, head of CJ Logistics' O-NE planning division.

The partnership builds on their previous collaboration, which began in April when CJ Logistics' 'Send O-NE' service was integrated into the Toss mini-application. This MOU will further connect CJ Logistics' logistics infrastructure and delivery capabilities with Toss' platform and offline store network, broadening their cooperation in the daily logistics sector.

Improvements will also be made to the Toss mini-app's 'Send Delivery' service, including features like automatic address input for senders and joint promotions utilizing the Toss platform.

Jeong In-ji, head of CJ Logistics' O-NE planning division, stated, "Our collaboration with Toss is expanding beyond online platform integration to provide daily logistics services that are closer to small business owners and general customers. We will continue to enhance daily logistics services by combining CJ Logistics' nationwide infrastructure with Toss' customer and store connections."

Meanwhile, CJ Logistics is advancing physical AI-based logistics automation by deploying AI humanoid robots in actual logistics processes. The company plans to enhance its ability to respond to various work environments by training these robots with real logistics data and virtual data generated from simulations.
