The Women's Enterprise Comprehensive Support Center (YeoGijong) has assisted domestic K-beauty female startups in entering the Japanese market.
YeoGijong announced on October 6 that it operated a 'K-beauty Female Startup Joint Pavilion' at 'COSME Week OSAKA 2026,' held at Intex Osaka from September 30 to October 2.
COSME Week OSAKA is a B2B exhibition featuring Japanese beauty companies, distributors, importers, and global buyers. This year's event saw participation from over 230 companies.
The joint pavilion was established as part of the '2026 Global Accelerating Program for Women Entrepreneurs,' hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and organized by YeoGijong. YeoGijong supported the participation and product promotion of ten selected K-beauty female startups, as well as matching them with local buyers.
Participating companies included Nerv Biosciences, The Frameless, Reskemi, Rockys, Better Days, Bidan & Company, As As, SPNBT, OARNP, and Eplmi.
During the exhibition, these companies held business meetings with local beauty industry representatives to showcase their product competitiveness and assess their potential in the Japanese market. They also developed export strategies tailored to local distribution methods.
Beyond supporting exhibition participation, YeoGijong has also sought to expand cooperation with local institutions. They visited the Osaka Industrial Bureau and the Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Women's Association to share startup support cases from both countries and establish a foundation for supporting domestic women entrepreneurs' entry into Japan. A networking meeting was also held with local investment and related field experts to discuss ways to expand the market for participating companies.
This support focuses on helping domestic beauty startups not only promote their products but also secure local distribution and buyer networks. This is particularly crucial for early-stage startups that struggle to establish their own overseas distribution networks, as it allows them to create direct connections with local buyers and gauge market reactions.
YeoGijong has worked diligently to secure cooperation channels with local support organizations while assisting individual companies in market development. By sharing startup support cases with the Osaka Industrial Bureau and the Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Women's Association, they have broadened the collaborative foundation to support domestic women entrepreneurs' entry into Japan. They have also established connections with local investment and related experts to build a network that will support future market expansion for participating companies.
Park Chang-sook, director of YeoGijong, stated, “Global expansion is an essential task for the survival and sustainable growth of companies. The operation of this joint pavilion was a meaningful opportunity to showcase the outstanding potential of K-beauty female startups and confirm their possibilities in Japan. We will spare no effort in providing practical post-support to ensure that female startups with excellent product quality can successfully establish themselves in the global market.”
