Jeju Dream Tower Resort has shattered its monthly performance record, driven by a surge in casino revenue. In October, the casino generated 62.5 billion won, becoming the first individual casino in South Korea to surpass 60 billion won in monthly revenue. The combined revenue from the casino and hotel reached 78.1 billion won, marking the highest total since the resort opened in 2020.

Lotte Tour Development announced on November 2 that the total revenue for the Jeju Dream Tower Resort in October was 78.1 billion won, an increase of 80.5% from the previous month’s 43.3 billion won. The previous monthly record was set in July at 68.8 billion won.

From January to October this year, cumulative revenue reached 603.3 billion won, up more than 16% from 518.3 billion won during the same period last year. There is growing interest in whether the annual revenue will reach 700 billion won.

The casino sector was the primary driver of this performance. In October, the casino's net revenue was 62.5 billion won, a 115.4% increase from the previous month’s 29 billion won. This figure also surpassed the previous record of 52.9 billion won set in September last year.

According to Lotte Tour Development, this is the first time an individual casino in South Korea has exceeded 60 billion won in monthly revenue. The previous record was held by Paradise Walkerhill at 59.8 billion won in June 2023, followed by Paradise City at 58.7 billion won in June last year.

The amount exchanged for gaming chips, known as the table drop, also saw significant growth. In October, the drop amount reached 327.4 billion won, a 37.7% increase from the previous month’s 237.8 billion won, marking the first time it exceeded 300 billion won.

The number of casino visitors was 66,254, similar to the previous month’s 66,393. While there was little change in visitor numbers, the hold rate—the percentage of bets retained as revenue—recovered significantly, rising from 10.8% in September to 18.4% in October.

The hotel sector also continued its growth trend. In October, hotel revenue was 15.5 billion won, up 9.2% from 14.2 billion won the previous month. The cumulative occupancy rate for the year reached 84.4%, the highest since the resort opened.

Lotte Tour Development explained that the significant improvement in October's performance was due to high levels of casino visitors and drop amounts, along with the recovery of the hold rate.

Looking ahead, the year-end performance is expected to be influenced by the expansion of international flights to Jeju. According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the number of international flights at Jeju Airport during the 2026 winter operation period will increase by 39.3%, from 349 flights per week last year to 486 this year. The number of international routes will also expand from 17 to 25.

Lotte Tour Development anticipates that the increase in international flights during the winter will lead to a rise in foreign tourist arrivals and increased demand for the casino and hotel.
