House transactions in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, have risen for the third consecutive month in September since the government took measures to help boost the property market in mid-July.

The number of home transactions in Seoul totaled 6,881 between Sept. 1 and Sept. 25, compared with 6,807 tallied in August, according to the Seoul metropolitan government's website, which provides real estate market information, Friday.

The figure doubles an average of 3,477 house transactions recorded in September every year from 2010 and 2013.

Home transactions in Seoul are expected to exceed 8,000 in September, market watchers said.

The measures to revive the property market include the easing of regulations on household loans, such as loan-to-value (LTV) and debt-to-income (DTI) ratios.
