Daum Kakao Asia Pacific's fastest growing technology company: Deloitte

The London-based professional services firm Deloitte said Thursday that South Korea's leading software company Daum Kakao Corp. took the No. 1 spot in its list of Asia Pacific's fastest growing technology companies. It was the first time that a South Korean firm has topped Deloitte's "Technology Fast 500 Asia Pacific."

Daum Kakao led the overall ranking, while Chinese companies once again dominated the 2014 rankings with four companies in the top 5. They are Telison, a green technology company; BOE Tech Group, a semiconductor, components and electronics firm; tap4fun, a software company; and HSTYLE, an Internet firm.

Australian telecommunications/networking company NEXTDC was ranked sixth, whereas South Korean media-entertainment firm Ace Technologies placed seventh.

Deloitte, with a globally connected network of member firms in more than 150 countries, provides audit, tax, consulting, and financial advisory services to public and private clients spanning multiple industries.
