SEOUL, April 05 (AJU PRESS) - Girl band Le Sserafim will work with the National Basketball Association (NBA) to promote various NBA events in the Asia-Pacific region. The five-member band will attend NBA games and share related content on social media.

NBA said on Friday that the band has been selected as the "Friends of the NBA." "We are thrilled to work with Le Sserafim, a group that embodies youth, dynamism and a genuine passion for the NBA," said NBA's chief marketing officer Tammy Henault. "This partnership symbolizes the fusion of music, culture and sports, and we look forward to uniting NBA and K-pop fans worldwide."

The group became the second K-pop idol selected to work with the NBA, following BTS member Suga's appointment as the global ambassador for the NBA in November 2023. Suga is currently fulfilling his mandatory military service in South Korea.

"Last year, we had a great time watching NBA games in Los Angeles," Le Sserafim said in a press release, expressing anticipation for future experiences with NBA fans worldwide.

Le Sserafim is a group formed by BTS agency Hybe's music label Source Music. The group comprises two South Koreans, two Japanese, and one American. Group members are scheduled to participate in the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, a popular music event held in California, on April 13 and 20.
