DB Insurance has launched a service that analyzes dashcam footage using artificial intelligence (AI) to determine fault in car accidents. Customers can submit accident videos directly, and the AI will provide fault results within seconds, enhancing the speed of claims processing and customer engagement.

On June 16, DB Insurance announced the introduction of the industry’s first "AI Fault Assessment System Utilizing Dashcam Footage." Under this system, after reporting an accident, customers can access a dedicated URL to upload dashcam footage and accident details. The AI automatically analyzes the footage and delivers fault assessment results and related information in an average of five seconds.

To develop this system, DB Insurance utilized 70,000 accident data cases for AI training and simulation over a 20-month period from September 2024 to May 2026. As a result, the accuracy of fault analysis has reached an average of 92.4%. DB Insurance plans to further enhance this accuracy through ongoing data accumulation and AI advancement.

A DB Insurance representative stated, "By creating an environment where customers can actively participate in the claims process, we expect to build greater trust with our clients. We also plan to continue innovating services and improving operational efficiency through AI technology."
