Lotte Insurance Partners with Kakao Healthcare to Launch AI Health Management Services

Lotte Insurance has announced a collaboration with Kakao Healthcare to introduce artificial intelligence (AI)-based health management services. The partnership aims to provide digital healthcare services to health insurance customers and develop new products and additional services that combine insurance and health management.

On June 22, Lotte Insurance revealed that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Kakao Healthcare to support chronic disease management and digital healthcare services for health insurance customers.

This agreement is designed to combine Lotte Insurance's health insurance service capabilities with Kakao Healthcare's digital healthcare technology to offer personalized health management services to policyholders.

The two companies plan to provide chronic disease management services to employees of businesses that have group insurance. Employees diagnosed with chronic conditions will receive healthcare devices such as continuous glucose monitors and ring-shaped blood pressure monitors, along with Kakao Healthcare's AI-based blood sugar and weight management solution, PASTA, to assist in their health management.

The initiative aims to help customers continuously monitor their health status in daily life and develop healthy lifestyle habits.

Additionally, they will work on developing insurance products and additional services linked to digital healthcare. Lotte Insurance will review new products and services in conjunction with the Kakao Healthcare platform, while Kakao Healthcare will support the enhancement of insurance products using its technology.
