Hancom has provided its artificial intelligence (AI) document creation solution, Hancom Assistant, to Korea Western Power, marking the first instance of integrating proprietary AI with a commercial AI document solution in a power group company.

On June 29, Hancom announced the completion of a comprehensive document environment for Korea Western Power, integrating Hancom Assistant with its proprietary AI chatbot, Wipibot.

This project represents the first application of combining proprietary AI and commercial AI document solutions in Korea Western Power's operations. The two companies have been validating the service's applicability since October of last year through a proof of concept (PoC).

Hancom Assistant connects with approximately 720,000 internal knowledge resources, including regulations, laws, operational manuals, and safety materials held by Korea Western Power. Employees can now search and utilize relevant regulations and operational information in real time during the report writing process, enabling more accurate and consistent document creation, according to the company.

Hancom is expanding its AI transformation (AX) projects, focusing on public institutions and corporations. Earlier this year, it secured a contract for the first phase of the National Assembly's big data platform (AI National Assembly), supplying Hancompedia and Hancom Assistant. This month, it also completed the construction of an AI knowledge search system for BGF Group.

Kim Yeon-soo, CEO of Hancom, stated, "This project is a significant example of combining our AI capabilities with Hancom's AI technology in the public power sector. We will continue to respond to the AI transformation needs of public institutions and corporate clients while expanding the AI platform market based on data sovereignty."
