Lotte, Shinsegae, and Hyundai department stores will begin pre-orders for Chuseok gift sets on August 14. The three retailers will also offer pre-orders through their online platforms, enhancing online-exclusive benefits such as gift options and discount coupons.

According to industry sources on August 13, Lotte Department Store will offer over 190 items, including meat, seafood, vegetables, and groceries, at discounts of up to 50% from August 14 to September 3. The quantity of popular items has been increased by up to two times. New offerings include the 'Royal Korean Beef Steak' featuring sirloin, tenderloin, and filet, as well as the 'Yeonggwang Steamed Barley Grunt and Sea Bream,' which reduces cooking hassle. Lotte's pre-order sales surged to 95% during last year's Chuseok and 120% during this year's Lunar New Year, marking record highs for two consecutive events.

Hyundai Department Store will also offer approximately 300 gift sets at discounts of up to 25% during the same period across its nationwide stores. The volume of pre-order items has increased by about 20% compared to last year's Chuseok. This year, the range of holiday gifts has expanded beyond food to include beauty products, home appliances, and tableware. High-end lifestyle items such as Baccarat tumblers, Hestens functional pillows, and Bang & Olufsen wireless earphones will also be included in the gift sets.

Shinsegae Department Store will sell over 370 items, including Korean beef, seafood, and agricultural products, from August 14 to September 6. The number of items has increased by 25% compared to the previous year, with discounts of 5-10% on Korean beef, 20-30% on dried fish, and up to 65% on health products. Notable offerings include 21 types of 'Shinsegae Cow Korean Beef' sourced through direct auctions to reduce distribution steps and the value-oriented 'Hamper Value' set. The online Shinsegae Department Store will also expand its brand offerings by 16% compared to last year's Chuseok.
