Jeju Air Expands International Routes from Busan to Guilin, China

Jeju Air has expanded its international routes to include Guilin, China, from Busan, following similar services from Incheon and Daegu.
 
On September 25, Jeju Air announced the launch of its Busan-Guilin route, which will operate four times a week on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, starting September 23.
 
The Busan-Guilin flights will depart from Gimhae International Airport at 9:45 PM and arrive at Guilin Liangjiang International Airport at 12:35 AM the following day (local time). The return flight will leave Guilin at 1:35 AM and arrive back at Gimhae at 6:05 AM the same day.
 
Starting October 25, when the winter schedule begins, the flight times will be adjusted. The new schedule will see flights departing Gimhae at 9:40 PM and arriving in Guilin at 12:45 AM the next day, with the return flight leaving Guilin at 1:45 AM and arriving in Gimhae at 6:10 AM.
 
Guilin, which means "forest of sweet osmanthus trees," is known for its pleasant weather and clear skies, with temperatures ranging from 15 to 28 degrees Celsius from September to November, making it an ideal travel destination. Jeju Air already operates Guilin routes from Incheon and Daegu, with four weekly flights from Incheon and two from Daegu.
 
Additionally, Jeju Air operates 14 international routes from Busan, including destinations in China, Japan, Southeast Asia, and Mongolia. According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's aviation information portal, the number of international passengers flying from Busan with Jeju Air increased by 13.5% this year, reaching 1,156,353 from January to August, compared to 1,018,295 during the same period last year.
 
A Jeju Air official stated, "We will enhance consumer convenience and strengthen our global competitiveness by developing routes that consider travel demand from various regions, including Busan, as well as the metropolitan area."
 
Meanwhile, Jeju Air is also increasing its supply of short-haul international routes, including to Japan. The airline recently began daily flights on the Incheon-Kobe route and plans to operate daily flights on the Incheon-Hakodate route starting in December.
