Insurance Companies Receive Additional Household Loan Limits 금융당국이 보험사별 가계대출 추가 한도를 순차적으로 통지하고 있다. 기존 관리 목표를 이미 초과한 보험사에도 추가 한도를 배정하지만 상당 부분이 초과분을 상쇄하는 데 쓰여 실제 신규 대출 여력은 제한적일 전망이다. 3일 금융권에 따르면 금융감독원은 지난주부터 생명·손해보험사에 수정된 가계대출 관리 목표를 안내하고 있다. 당초 목표를 초과한 보험사부터 우선 통지하고 있으며 이들 회사에도 일정 규모의 추가 한도를 인정한 것으로 확인됐다. 이는 금융당국이 지난달 13일 발표한 부동산 금융 대책을 통해 올해 금융권 가계대출 증가율 관리 목표를 기존 1.5%에서 3.0%로 높인 데 따른 조치다. 목표 상향으로 금융권 전체에 명목상 약 30조원의 추가 대출 여력이 생겼지만 올해 들어 이미 늘어난 가계대출 등을 고려하면 실제 활용할 수 있는 규모는 6조~8조원에 그칠 것으로 전망된다. 보험업권에 배분되는 추가 한도는 크지 않은 것으로 알려졌다. 올해 6월 말 보험계약대출 잔액은 72조8000억원으로 지난해 말보다 2조원 증가했다. 보험계약대출은 보험계약자가 해지환급금 범위 안에서 받을 수 있는 대출이다. 소득 증빙이나 신용심사 없이 이용할 수 있어 급하게 생활자금이 필요할 때 주로 활용된다. 금감원은 보험업권의 가계대출 규모가 은행권보다 작은 점과 향후 대출 상환에 따라 잔액이 줄어들 가능성 등을 고려해 기존 목표를 초과한 보험사에도 추가 한도를 배정한 것으로 전해졌다. 다만 추가 한도 중 상당 부분이 이미 초과한 대출액을 상쇄하는 데 쓰이는 만큼 신규 대출 확대 효과는 크지 않을 것으로 보인다. 금감원은 추가 한도를 받은 보험사에 가계대출 모니터링을 강화할 것도 주문했다. 금융당국은 서민금융 상품 총량을 가계대출 내에 유보금으로 포함해 관리해 나간다는 계획이다. 다만 보험업권에서 취급하는 서민금융상품은 사실상 햇살론 정도이고 이마저 삼성 계열 보험사만 판매하고 있어 총량 제외를 통한 판매 확대 효과는 제한적일 것으로 예상된다. 최근 보험사들은 중단했던 주택담보대출 취급을 일부 재개하고 있다. 삼성화재는 신규 접수를 중단한 지 두 달여 만에 주담대 취급을 재개했다. 한화생명도 지난 6월 신규 접수를 중단했다가 7월부터 다시 취급하고 있다. NH농협생명은 지난 4월부터 주담대 신규 취급을 중단한 상태다. 추가 총량이 배정되면서 주담대 등 가계대출 취급을 확대하는 보험사가 추가로 나올 가능성이 있다. 2026-09-03 10:24:10
