The FT earlier reported, citing maritime security analysts, that the Senegal Prosperity, which it described as owned by Sinokor, was among two oil tankers attacked in the strategic waterway.
“Sinokor chartered the vessel from another shipping company and then sub-chartered it to another operator,” the South Korean government source told AJP.
“So, based on what we have found so far, it is not a South Korean vessel,” the source said, adding that the information has yet to be finalized.
