SEOUL -- Brave Girls, a four-member K-pop girl band, will disband after releasing its last single titled "Goodbye." The band that unexpectedly stepped into the spotlight 10 years after its debut with a single dance track titled "Rollin'" in 2021 did not renew the contract with its agency "Brave Entertainment."

All group members will end the exclusive contract, said Brave Entertainment, adding that the group will release Goodbye at 6 p.m. (0900 GMT) on February 16.

Since its debut in 2011, the group has not gained popularity as a famous girl band for about 10 years. The obscure group maintained its musical career mainly by performing in confidence-boosting concerts inside military bases. Although there were seven members in 2017, only four members remained in 2018. Despite its obscurity, the member has not disbanded thanks to its 2017 single Rollin'.

Brave Girls also garnered attention for releasing the repackaged version of Summer Queen, the group's fifth mini-album in August 2021. The repackaged album has four songs including the title song "Drinking Habits" and the acoustic version of "Chi Mat Ba Ram." Drinking Habits is a pop-rock song that portrays the emotion of a girl who broke up with her boyfriend. The song is a sequel to "We Ride," a song released in August 2020.
