Semiconductor suppliers earmark more capital spending in second half
The global semiconductor market is still reeling from weak demand but major players led by Samsung Electronics are forecast to spend more on facility investment in the second half of this year, according to a market survey published Tuesday. Scientists develop semiconductor operable in -90 degrees Celsius
South Korean scientists claimed Tuesday to have developed a new semiconductor element which is operable in extreme temperatures such as below 90 degrees Celsius. Shipbuilding industry forecast to grow 0.8 percent in 2015
South Korea's shipbuilding industry will grow slightly on-year in 2015, a government-funded think tank said Thursday. The Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade (KIET) forecast that the country's shipbuilding output will reach 11.90 million compensated gross tons (CGTs) next year, up 0.8 percent from 2014.
